Pigeon River Inn

We travel all the time, and I feel like we overpaid for this stay. The breakfast selection was limited, though not terrible. The room was clean, but the bed was completely worn out. When’s the last time springs poked you when you rolled over? The towels were scarce and paper thin. The online pictures were edited and misleading. The lobby looked roomy and new in them, but in person it had two chairs almost touching the fireplace. The tall ceiling also looked much larger in the photos. After seeing how different it was, it’s hard to trust those glowing reviews.

We’d stayed here several years ago and enjoyed it, so we came back for my birthday. This time was the worst experience we’ve had, even though we travel a lot and know things can go wrong. They wouldn’t refund the two nights we had left. We asked for a creekside view and got a road and drainage ditch. The beds were very hard, and noise from other rooms, people yelling, and traffic kept us from sleeping. When we raised the noise, the staff bluntly said that because we booked online there were no other options. We were treated rudely and repeatedly told it was because we booked through travelocity.com. A broken bathroom tile cut my foot, and neither person at the desk seemed to care.

We’re already looking forward to next year. This was our first visit to pigeon Forge for the Smoky MountainJeep invasion, and the hotel was incredible. The Patel’s made it a wonderful vacation, and I loved seeing all the jeepers at the hotel. Everyone was helpful, the place was very clean, the food was awesome, and customer service was impeccable. It’s right on the strip, which made getting around easy. Such a beautiful setting. Thank you, we’ll see you soon.

Really good value, with a great location. Management was friendly and quick to respond, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and it was very quiet.
