Riverside Motor Lodge

I love the location and being able to walk to the grocery store and shops. The staff are all really nice, and the pool area was clean. I usually enjoy staying here, but our room on the last trip was nasty: there was blood all over the bathroom door, clumps of mud across the floor, and the bathroom door wouldn't close.

We watched the fireworks from right outside our room, since they were set off just across the road. We went with family for the 4th of July and rented two two-bedroom suites. Each had a kitchenette, plenty of space, and everything we needed: a little stove, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, cups, silverware, a coffee pot, and a toaster. The property has two pools, one inside and one outside on the other side of the building. Both are heated and about the same size, 3-5 feet deep. We spent time in the outdoor pool, which was sometimes just ours, with a few others coming and going. The indoor pool was always more crowded. Everyone loved the stay, and I don't have a single complaint. We used to stay here 15-plus years ago, and it's still an awesome place. All the staff I spoke with were friendly. I can't recommend it enough.

After getting scammed at Tennessee Mountain Lodge and Riverside Motor Lodge, this place saved the day. The rooms were nice, the people were sweet, and I'd give it 10/10.

I love a privately owned place that's well maintained, and this one was a great find while we toured the area. My husband checked in and said the woman was super nice. They also have a parrot that's been there since they opened. The room and bathroom were clean, and I didn't spot a single creepy crawly, which matters because I'm obsessive about checking. There was a TV, Wi-Fi, a kitchenette with decent coffee, a fireplace, a couch, a little table, and a great view. If only every motel kept its rooms this nice. Thanks for the lovely stay.
