Smoky View Inn

The location was okay, and the best part of that holiday weekend was getting to spend time with my husband. The room, though, was filthy. The floors were so dirty they looked black, and the shower curtain was dirty too. When we asked staff for clean bedding and other items, they were extremely rude and disrespectful. It was the worst place we’ve stayed. Since it was a holiday weekend, we couldn’t find anywhere else to go.

The beds were comfortable, the AC was cold, and the location was handy for groceries, food, and attractions. Service was decent, I guess, and booking was quick. Still, we won’t be back. We were put in an adjoining room with a random family, which felt odd, and they refused when I asked to switch to a room without a connecting door. There was mold on the bathroom caulking, and live and dead roaches around the rooms. We brought bugs home in our luggage and had to deep-clean the car, sort through all our clothes and belongings outside, then put everything straight in the washer. It’s $50 a night, but that still isn’t worth bringing bugs home. You get what you pay for.

For what we paid, the room was okay, though it could’ve been cleaner. The whole place really needs remodeling. I don’t think I’ll stay here again.

Great spot for getting around pigeon forge, but the service was really bad. The room wasn’t cleaned properly, with dust and dirt everywhere. The door latch wouldn’t catch unless you pulled the door up.
