The Inn On The River

The creek is such a relaxing part of this place, and there’s wildlife to watch and feed. Sitting on the balcony or patio with tea or cocoa and listening to the water is lovely. It has a rustic, homey feel and a Christian atmosphere that helped me forget my worries and just enjoy the stay. The beds are super comfy, the linens soft, and the rooms clean. The staff are sweet, courteous, helpful, and know their stuff. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had, with a wonderful assortment of freshly made food. Homemade cookies come out in the afternoon, then fresh popcorn and sweet tea in the evening. The pools are excellent and the hot tub was great. Lots of attractions and restaurants are nearby, so there’s no need to drive around. The Titanic museum is fantastic.

The staff here were the most pleasant and helpful people I’ve come across on any vacation. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and valued. Rooms are clean, breakfast is great, and they put out popcorn, tea, and cookies at 7pm. Don’t miss this gem, you won’t be disappointed.

The staff were attentive and caring, and my husband said he felt catered to. It was a great stay. The indoor pool and hot tub were fantastic. We didn’t get to try the outdoor pool because of the weather, though it looked nice. There’s a riverside trail across from the hotel that was perfect for running, and almost everything else is within a ten minute drive. The place feels homey, with a lobby fireplace, comfy chairs and couches, a basket of blankets, plus a kids’ area with toys and board games. Everything was clean, and they set out popcorn and cookies every evening. Outside, there’s a large gas fireplace with rocking chairs overlooking the river, and a covered spot for eating or playing games. Breakfast was phenomenal. I’d recommend it to anyone.

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room and beds were comfy, and the full hot breakfast was great each morning. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily and replenished the towels promptly and professionally. Everyone on staff was fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend the Inn on the River.
