Vacation Lodge

The location was a big plus, right on the strip and close to everything. Our room was quiet, cute, clean, and spacious, and I really liked having the jacuzzi in the bathroom. Breakfast was very basic, but we appreciated it. We’ve decided this is where we’ll stay whenever we travel to pigeon forge!

The privacy blinds were fantastic, and the staff was friendly. The room had been cleaned before we arrived, and there was breakfast every morning. It’s a pretty cheap hotel, too, and I’d stay here again because we felt we got our money’s worth. A few things could be better. The walls are thin, so you can hear neighbors pretty clearly. I noticed a stain or two on the pillows or bedspread, though that seems fairly common with white hotel bedding. Breakfast was sparse: biscuits and gravy, cereal, muffins, and either egg or sausage depending on the day, with both on weekends. The shower temperature was hit or miss, sometimes hot and sometimes just warm. There’s an indoor pool, and it seemed like there might also be an outdoor one in warmer months.

The staff made a great impression. The front desk greeters were friendly, and the breakfast staff were accommodating. Breakfast was hot and served daily, with biscuits, gravy, eggs, instant oatmeal, toast, sausage, muffins, cereal, orange and apple juice, water, and coffee. For the price, the standards were higher than I expected, and I do recommend it. I’m a little biased because I own and operate a cleaning company. Some detail cleaning was missing: the bathroom baseboards and ceiling vent needed dusting, and elsewhere I found a gummy bear on the TV stand and baseboards that needed cleaning. I understand hotel staff have to turn rooms around quickly. A detailed cleaning of each building once a month could help keep things up between quick cleans. Our room had a fireplace, which came in handy on cold nights and mornings. Next time I’d like one with an outdoor balcony. The building next to the BP station can get loud early because of traffic.

Breakfast and the facility were good, and the staff were super friendly. Big thanks to Gail and Annette at the front desk. They were helpful and resourceful, and made check-in easy. They’re awesome 😎. I’ll definitely come back.
