That breakfast bar is a big reason we keep coming back. The food is tasty and served piping hot, and it stays open until 10:30 AM, so there’s time to get down in the morning. At some hotels you barely get out of bed before breakfast is over. The rooms have always been excellent, service is exceptional, and they have good accessible rooms for guests with disabilities.

The room assignment was the biggest problem. We booked two beds, but were put in a room with one bed for two adults and a tween. We all had to share it for four nights, and the adults got little to no sleep. It was Fall Break, and we couldn’t find another nearby hotel with comparable rooms available on short notice. There were some good things: the staff were friendly, thoughtful, and worked hard to make guests feel welcome. The rooms and shared areas were clean and well kept. But breakfast often ran out of food and juice before the stated closing time. The shower knob was loose and fell off, and the sink faucet was still wobbly after we asked for a repair. Housekeeping never came despite several requests for fresh towels, trash removal, or bed-making. The staff’s warmth and the cleanliness kept the stay from being a total loss, but management needs to address room assignments, maintenance, and dependable basic service.

I came into town on an unplanned trip and stopped in the lot to check rates before deciding where to stay. Less than two minutes later, someone in staff clothing came over and told me it was private property and I couldn’t park there unless I was a guest. If there’s not even time to check the prices, I won’t stay, and that kind of service makes me wonder why anyone would. The owner later responded with an attitude, saying everyone involved should leave separate fair reviews, then suggested I scroll through my phone, apparently while driving, instead of pulling off safely at what had first been my intended destination.

We’d considered a longer stay, but the welcome put us off before we even got started. We pulled in to look up the rates, and within two minutes a man I found VERY questionable came to the car and told us to leave because it was private property. Corporate should look into customer service. This place was better when it was motel 6 :( Edit: It used to be motel 6, and if you knew your own establishment you’d know that. Like I said, we were checking rates when we got interrupted by this homeless-looking person, who apparently got a job there, telling us to leave. Nothing more to add. Glad we didn’t choose it, lol.
