The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, which was the best part for me. We came as a group of 10, and I think everyone was happy with the stay. Everything, including the beds and bathrooms, was clean and comfortable, and the artwork felt more original than the usual hotel pictures. There was a nice outdoor spot with plenty of chairs for sitting around and visiting. The room coffee was really weak, though they told me they were working on fixing it. Coffee in the breakfast area was good.

We booked a room for our three-day getaway instead of bringing the RV, and I really liked the property. The yard and outdoor amenities were thoughtfully laid out, and everything was friendly and well cared for. The room was clean, with a bit of a retro look. My back hurt after sleeping on the bed for two nights, though that may just be my back. I also would have liked a couch or a comfortable chair for watching a movie. If we rent a room here again, I hope the bed suits me better.

The room was simple, quiet, and dark, so we slept great. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had hot water with good pressure. We arrived late after forest fires coming from Phoenix forced us to turn back in Heber. The front desk called when we missed our expected check-in and was very polite and helpful about checking in late and finding our room. There are nice picnic areas for kids and families, plus mini golf and a horseshoe pit.

The owners were the highlight, friendly and helpful with ideas for places to see nearby. We visited in November during the off-season, and since it didn’t snow that day, the weather was very pleasant. The beds were cozy, the heater and AC worked well, and the bathroom was clean, though a little small. Woodland Park is only 0.3 mile away, and we would have walked there if we’d come in summer. It’s a lovely place to hike or sit quietly. Restaurants are close too, with a Chinese place across the road and a Mexican restaurant just a few steps away, plus a small gas station nearby. Cozy spot with warm owners, and friendly people in this small town. I’d come back in spring or summer.
