Quality Inn Pinetop Lakeside

We came up from Mesa on Saturday 10/4 for a beautiful wedding at ivory + grace. My partner went to shower that morning and the handle came off. June, who works reception and maintenance, couldn’t find the right Allen wrench, so she offered to move us and got us into the room next door. Thanks, June, we really appreciated your help. The other receptionist, whose name I didn’t get, also kindly helped us get my sister-in-law’s room opened early so they could get ready for the wedding. Thanks to both of you for a great hotel experience.

A lovely, clean hotel, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and good-sized bathrooms. The breakfast choices were somewhat limited, but it was included in the price, so I can’t complain.

For $200 a night, I expected better. There’s no room service, and reception said they couldn’t get to my room because there were too many checkouts. I can guess why so many people were checking out. The place is poorly run, and I wouldn’t recommend it. My bathroom door was locked, which was a first. The receptionist had to use a piece from the coffee maker plug to open it. Then my room key didn’t work. I went to reception FOUR times, and it still wouldn’t work. The heavy curtains were just for show. With the AC on, it parted the thin sheers, leaving no privacy, and the light from the neighboring building shone into my window all night.

I checked in an hour ago, and the place is still filthy. I have asthma and can’t be around dust bunnies. The blankets from the previous night seem to have been reused, with obvious stains and wrinkles. I found hair under the pillow, and I’m obviously not a redhead. The surfaces haven’t been wiped down, and the bathroom smells odd. It seems housekeeping isn’t checking every spot in the room. I wouldn’t recommend this for a family vacation. Y’all need to improve the cleaning.
