The front desk staff were friendly, and I appreciated the complimentary filtered water in the office. The place is dog friendly, with quick beach access, a mini fridge, and a microwave. It’s close to everything in town, and we enjoyed our stay enough that we’d return. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though a little dated. Our first floor room could get noisy when the people upstairs were around. The shower head could use some CLR, and the fabric curtain has so much extra material that it bunches into the tub, where it presumably collects plenty of bacteria from all the guests. The parking lot was sometimes full when we returned late.

The beach is right there, but reaching the water means going down a long flight of stairs because the property sits well above sea level. Not every room has a view, and ours looked onto the parking lot, oy! We stayed two nights and it was pretty quiet. They put out fresh bananas, wrapped muffins, pastries, and cookies for breakfast. Most of the staff were friendly. But the elevator was out of service with no end date, and the pool and hot tub were closed on our second day with no reopening time given. When I asked about the pool, the desk clerk was rude. The room needs a thorough cleaning. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too soft. There was no AC unit in the bedroom, which made sleeping difficult. The TVs were about the size of a large computer screen.

You get a clean room, friendly service, and a good location at an affordable, pet friendly beachfront hotel. It is dated and not fancy, but there are some nice little extras: a light breakfast, water and coffee, and a treat for your dog when you arrive. It’s a short walk to the sand, shops, and restaurants by the pier. I’d recommend it if you want a clean place in a great spot.

The desk service was lovely, and the rooms were cuter than I expected. It’s in a great area, within walking distance of everything, so it’s convenient. The continental breakfast could use a little more, in my opinion. They had bagels, Danish, coffee, oatmeal, bananas, and oranges. Hard boiled eggs and yogurt would’ve been a plus. My room was on the ground floor, and I could clearly hear the people above walking back and forth. Their bed squeaked when they sat on it, and they were up pacing until about 5am, waking me up through the night. I’m sure rooms above the first floor don’t have this problem.
