Pismo Beach Hotel

Tammy at reception was extremely helpful and polite, and the hotel is close to the shops, restaurants, and pier. But I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a quiet, comfortable room. The third-floor window had a lock that only let it open about six inches, so the room got very hot at night. The bed was noisy, and we could hear everything inside and on the street below. When other guests shut their doors, the walls shook. Around 06:00 am, the street sweeper woke us up. We finally got a tool on the third night to open the window enough to sleep.

The woman at the front desk was so kind and upgraded us to a suite. The old-fashioned elevator is fun, and there's a great café downstairs. We had a great experience.

Debbie and Tammy made us feel like family and were so accommodating. The hotel has security, free private parking, and a free coffee and tea bar in its beautiful lobby. There's also a cute little coffee shop and eatery sharing the space. It's just two blocks from the pier, across from Splash and Brad's, right on the strip. This was our first stay here. We usually pick different hotels along the coast, but chose this one for the location, and it was amazing. Quaint and cute, with the best staff. We'll definitely come back. My new favorite spot. The beds were very comfortable, the location was great, and the friendly staff were accommodating. The place is a nice piece of history, a classic 1937 hotel, but it really needs updating. The elevator is original and didn't always work from our fourth-floor room, and the stairs are outside. The heater went out twice, and the electric space heaters they brought caused the room's power to go out twice, too.
