The service was wonderful, the nearby hiking was excellent, and the food was seriously yummy. My girlfriend and I came for our anniversary and loved the place. We're from big cities, and I worried the real thing might not match the nice photos, especially the food, but it was even better than pictured. Breakfast is included, and you can add dinner for a price. I'd splurge on it: it's delicious and a great value. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and they accommodated her. This is food that could hold its own at a 3 or 4 star restaurant in Dallas or Atlanta, not just 'good food' for a small town. Everyone was super nice, too. One small hassle: they may not answer on the first call, so leave a voicemail and they'll call back. I also wasn't thrilled by the automatic 10 percent gratuity. I don't think they don't deserve it, but I'd rather see that cost included in the advertised price. If paying staff fairly costs 10 percent more, just raise the price and be transparent. I heard they'll waive the gratuity if you mention it, but I won't ask, since everyone was so kind and friendly. I just wish their salaries didn't rely on a surprise charge. I absolutely loved this place and will be back. Come enjoy Gatlinburg, the smokey mountains, the nature, and what's offered here. It's worth it and WAAAYYYY better than anything airbnb has to offer. Love it!

The only thing I didn't care for was the extremely firm mattress. We stayed in cottage 7 and had dinner one evening. The cabins felt private even though they were close to the main building, and the inn is well away from the main tourist area, so it's very quiet. The included breakfast was exceptional. They also accommodated our dinner menu when there was an item I strongly disliked, though I'd ask ahead about that. If quaint and charming could describe a little Inn, the Buckhorn is it.

Fantastic food, beautiful land and views, and such friendly staff. They made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary two weeks ago, and it was perfect. I highly recommend coming whenever you get the chance. We're already planning to make it an anniversary tradition.

The view is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is a relaxing break from work that we really need. We're repeat guests because this inn exceeds our expectations every time. The food is always great, and there's so much of it. We'll definitely be back.

We loved the food, the staff, and the grounds, and we're already working out when to return. It was our first time visiting Tennessee, and from the moment we arrived, Buckhorn Inn felt like a special place. Thanks for a great stay!
