This is a comfortable but very dated second-floor condo. Check-in was online, with no in-person service, and the temperature took some figuring out. It was 64° when we arrived, bbbrrrrr. One bedroom fan didn’t work, so there wasn’t much air circulation. The table lamps felt unstable and their shades were loose. There weren’t enough closet hangers, and the primary bath could use a makeup chair at the vanity. I had to use a kitchen chair. The toilet handle in the primary bedroom stuck, so the water kept running, and I don’t think the shower was cleaned well. There were 3 dead SPIDERS! Yikes. They provide WHITE towels throughout, but charge you if you stain them, so bring your own, even for the kitchen.

Our Christmas vacation was cancelled just two days before check-in, leaving us high and dry after everything else had been booked. We’d bought plane tickets, rented cars, and taken time off work, and suddenly there were no other options. That kind of cancellation should be illegal. Way to ruin Christmas. A horrible way to treat people.

White Oak Resort was clean, and we had a great time at the pool. The neighbors were noisy, but that’s out of the resort’s hands. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

We weren’t sure what to expect on our family vacation, but the cabins and their views on all sides blew us away. The layout inside was lovely, and there’s a grocery store nearby. It’s also very close to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for tourist stuff. The pool was fun for adults and kids, and staff responded quickly when we needed help with something in a cabin or on the property. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at White Oaks. The cabin was beautiful and just right, and the Smokey Mountains views were awesome.
