Courtyard by Marriott Antioch Pittsburg

This hotel is a great addition to Pittsburg, and it's so close to Bart. It's beautiful, with great amenities, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I wish I could spend time in the state-of-the-art lounge areas, maybe even work from there. Lina the bartender is a favorite, too. She always has great drink suggestions.

The location worked out really well for visiting my family, and it was handy having free parking and charging stations for electric cars. The room was clean apart from a questionable stain in the bathroom. They should take care of things like that before the place goes downhill like the nearby hotels. The shower pressure was weak, and when we got back from a party my feet were aching and the elevator had stopped working.

We were there for my FIL's funeral, and dealing with the manager made an already hard stay worse. He was rude and acted as though we'd done something wrong when we were just trying to clarify our arrangements. The reservations had been split because one was under my daughter's name and one under mine. I also qualify for upgrades through my status, but the night staff gave us wrong information. The manager brushed that off instead of handling it professionally. It was uncomfortable and disrespectful, and this kind of nonsense will cost them a lot of business.

The restaurant on site was pretty decent. My only real complaint was the freeway noise, so ask for a room facing the parking lot if you want to sleep.
