The location worked well for what I needed, but that's about the only good thing. We had no room service during our two days, there were cheeseballs under the bed from who knows when, the toilet paper holder was broken, and there was no conditioner. The biggest issue was that there was no pool, which was literally the only reason we booked. They offered to move us, but after an almost four-hour drive I decided to put up with it. More things kept going wrong, and the $50 refund didn't even cover a quarter of what we paid.

The rest of the room was fine, but the floor made popping sounds when we walked over it. Bring your own soap and shampoo, since the room has large shared bottles. And don't expect a hot breakfast: the sausage and eggs were cold, while the biscuit gravy was only so-so.

The room was quiet, everything worked, and the bed gave me the best sleep of my eight-day trip. It was all clean, too. The breakfast space is huge, with lots of choices and plenty of food, and the hotel coffee was shockingly good. The lobby, parking, and even the luggage carts were great. The property looks newer, and the desk staff were terrific, especially Kathy. I'm very satisfied and would come back even if I had to drive from within 50 miles. You'd have to try hard to be disappointed here.

Our car broke down on the way to our winter home in Southern Texas. A lousy situation, but it couldn't have happened at a better place. Manager Diane and her whole crew, including Heidi, Kathy and Ragu, were kind and considerate, as was housekeeping. They made our 24 nights stuck there a lot more bearable. Thank you so much, from Brad and Dawn.

The room was spacious, and having two televisions seemed kind of crazy, but turned out to be necessary. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The one letdown was the closed indoor pool, which was the only thing the kids were looking forward to. Maybe next time. We'll definitely book again.
