The front desk and breakfast staff were pleasant, and the breakfast staff were the best part of the stay. The on-site restaurant was decent for both price and food. Still, this was disappointing and not worth the money. Our suite area smelled of tobacco and strong cooking, even though we weren’t near the restaurant. Remodeling around the room made things dusty and noisy during the day. The bed was a full, not the advertised queen, with only two pillows and a light blanket. It got down to 30 at night, and our request for extra pillows and blankets was ignored. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way, the tub leaked, and the floor behind the toilet stayed wet from a leak. The toilet paper roll was already half used, with none extra. When I asked for more at the desk, they gave me a tissue box and one roll for a five-day stay. The kitchen was disgusting: dirty dishes in the cupboards, a plate so greasy it was bumpy and sticky, crumbs in the microwave and on the stove, and a fridge that was neither level nor clean.

Breakfast was a nice extra, simple, fresh, and well organized, and check-in was easy with helpful, friendly staff. Comfort Inn & Suites Pittsburgh felt welcoming on arrival, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with a great bed and the cleanliness we wanted after a long day of travel or sightseeing. It’s conveniently located for getting around Pittsburgh, and felt like a dependable option for the price. We’d definitely stay again.

The room smelled like vomit, and the bathroom was filthy. The coffee maker was plugged in but wouldn’t turn on, and the TV remote didn’t work without new batteries. To use the fitness center or pool, your key won’t get you in, so you have to wait in line and ask the front desk to let you through. Snacks and drinks by the desk cost way too much. There are cameras everywhere with bright red lights, which gave the place a weird vibe. This was trash, honestly. Ownership should focus on keeping staff motivated and fixing the software that links room keys to the fitness center. Guests who feel respected will treat the property with more respect, and maybe none of those $5 candy bars would get taken. Don’t stay here.

The room was updated and comfortable, and the other staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk interaction was frustrating, though: the person was hard to hear and understand, and seemed very annoyed when asked to repeat. We called the day before because a storm was coming and got approval to check in early, around 11:30 to noon. We arrived at about 1:15, but our room still wasn’t ready.
