Days Inn by Wyndham Pittsburgh

We lasted less than 35 minutes. The room had dirty floors, dead bugs, and dirt and stains on the sheets. At floor level, the bathroom window was broken and wouldn't latch. We packed up at 10:30 at night and left. The very young girl at the front desk didn't seem helpful or friendly, and she didn't offer us another room. Even though I paid her, she said I had to talk to Expedia about a refund. I was told the manager would call, but it's 1 PM two days later and I still haven't heard anything. I'll file a credit card claim since they wouldn't make it right. Nothing positive to report except that we checked out faster than we checked in. DO NOT STAY here.

They say the room was renovated six months ago, but it was still very dirty. There were stains on the mattress and lampshade, cobwebs in the bathroom window, and holes in the bathroom wall behind a damaged door frame that looked kicked in. My favorite discovery was a slim jim hidden on top of the canvas painting. The complimentary breakfast was just yogurt, a banana, an apple, and orange juice, which left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend staying here. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

After a lengthy dispute, the reservation was eventually canceled. When I raised the state of the room, the manager showed little concern, and I was handed a broom, basically expected to clean it myself. The room was extremely dirty when I arrived. There was dust, trash, debris, and other leftover stuff under and around the bed, making it obvious that it hadn't been properly cleaned before guests were assigned to it. The front desk woman's response was even more disappointing. She was rude, dismissive, and argumentative, and blamed the mess on me moving the beds. Guests shouldn't have to move furniture to find out whether a room has been cleaned. The dirt and debris under the beds clearly suggest that cleaning and inspection aren't being done before rooms are assigned. Avoid this property.

We had a nice stay, and the staff were very friendly. The pool area was beautiful, and we really enjoyed it. I'd recommend this motel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. We'll definitely come back.
