Best Western Plus Anaheim Orange County Hotel

We stayed from 10/11 through 10/12/2025. The room was clean, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The area felt very safe, and I’d stay again. But the bare walls made the room feel less cozy and pleasant. Some pictures, artwork, or other decor would help.

All the staff were really friendly, and breakfast was great apart from the spicy sausage. The room was good and the bed comfortable, though there wasn’t a view. I had to fiddle with the valve to get water to the shower head, and the soap and shampoo dispensers gave out too little with each pump. Just a typical city hotel.

The room was spacious, with free parking and breakfast, and it’s less than 20 minutes from Disneyland Resort. But the cleanliness was awful. I found a long blonde hair in the sink when I arrived, and the bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned. I wiped up some spilled water with a hand towel and it came away brown with dirt. I showed the front desk pictures and asked for a thorough clean. When I came back, the hair was still there, though the sheets had been changed. I didn’t check the floor again. The bed linens also had holes and black marks. You get what you pay for.

A disabled veteran was given a hard time at check-in, then the next evening was called a liar and kicked out for asking to have the shower head cleaned and descaled with CLR so it would work properly. Staff even called the cops. I can’t tell if the employee behind all this was bored, upset about working Thanksgiving, or just a sad, petty person. Whatever the reason, they need retraining in basic customer service or to be let go. This location isn’t veteran-friendly or even kind to people. I’d avoid it, and I’d tell others to stay away from the whole motel chain too. You’d be better off sleeping in a van down by the river.
