La Quinta Inn & Suites Indianapolis Airport West

We took the kids out for a trip and had a great time. The indoor pool was so warm that we stayed in it for almost three hours. Even though it's pet friendly, the hotel was very quiet. They're remodeling, and it's looking really nice. We'll be back. La Quinta for the win!

We arrived late, and check-in went smoothly. The night desk person was kind. On the fourth floor, we spotted a cut down the middle of the headboard, so we took pictures and went back to the desk. He came up to photograph it too and apologized for the extra trip, though we didn't mind. The room looked recently remolded, so it was a shame to see the damage. Otherwise it was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with comfy beds and a room that got as cold as we like. Breakfast was awesome, and the kitchen staff guy was friendly. The morning desk staff were smiling and helpful. They kept the place clean and seem to be handling the remodel well. We'd stay again if we're back this way.

After a good night at the La Quinta in Columbus, Indiana, we decided to stay here the next night too. Our third-floor room had been renovated and was clean and tasteful; they were still working on the fourth floor. Because I have allergies and strongly dislike odors, the check-in clerk explained what was being updated above us and let me inspect the room before we booked. The ground floor hadn't been updated yet. We didn't try the free breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Everything else was fine, and we'll definitely be back soon.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the stay was good, but the rules for traveling with a dog didn't make sense. I had to sign that my dog would stay out of the lobby and never be left alone in the room, then was told the lobby was the only entrance. The desk guy agreed the document was messed up. Breakfast was supposed to run from 6 to 9. I went at 7, leaving my dog alone because I don't think dogs belong in the breakfast area, and planned to take food back. The food was only just being set out: the sausage gravy was cold and the biscuits weren't ready. A sign from 'the mgmt' said not to bring food back to rooms, so my dog was left alone longer. Don't make guests sign rules they can't follow because of the layout or other rules. There's a nice pet space out back. They should just get rid of the smoking area. Yuck!
