We were exhausted after a long road trip and couldn’t find another place nearby on a holiday weekend, so we stayed after making a last-minute reservation. The sheets looked clean, but the room was unhygienic: the bathroom floor didn’t seem to have been cleaned, and there were coins left by a previous guest, I assume. Brown stains on the curtain looked like fecal matter. We told the desk clerk, but the manager took no action, such as offering a discount. This was our first and last stay at a Comfort or Choice brand hotel.

The halls smelled awful, and there was rust in the bathroom. Our rooms hadn’t been cleaned beforehand, and housekeeping never came by, so I had to go to the front desk for sheets and towels. I’ve had better stays next door. When I called to make the reservation, the woman was so rude and sounded like she wanted to be anywhere else.

The room was mostly okay, but the sofa sleeper was really gross. Its mattress was thin, dingy, stained, and very worn, and underneath the couch bed was dried vomit. That was nasty and unhygienic. Our curtains also had some pretty serious stains and splatters.

Michelle went looking for a cart since we were assigned a second-floor room. When she couldn’t find one, she moved us to a large room on the first floor instead. We appreciated her service. The sheets and beds were soft, and I slept great!

We’ve stayed twice now and it’s a great hotel. On our latest visit, we arrived two hours before check-in and they still let us in. The employees are great too. Give them a raise!
