Hilton Garden Inn Melville

We keep coming back when we visit family in New York. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help, and breakfast is better than average. Hilton members can use credits toward breakfast and snacks. There’s lots of parking, including accessible spaces, and the fire pits are a nice place to gather on chilly evenings in spring, summer, or fall. One issue has been the elevators: on most trips over the past two years, one was out of order. Both were working during our most recent visit in December 2025. Also, even the accessible rooms have very low toilets. I suggested management keep seat risers available for older or disabled guests.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and my husband and I really love it. We had to leave very early this time and forgot to tip housekeeping, so I want to recognize them here. They made the room feel so inviting and comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Our hotel was packed for a wedding, and when the one elevator that sometimes works kept cutting out, guests had to wait a long time just to use it. The other elevator has apparently been broken for a year. Today the working one is out again, so anyone on the fourth floor has to carry luggage down four flights of stairs. Staff seem to have no solution beyond resetting it, and no one appears to know how to get the issue fixed. Corporate needs to step in and repair the elevators. Guests need working elevators at a hotel. Don’t stay here until they’re repaired.

We picked this Hilton for a show at the Paramount in Huntington. It’s set back from the road and busy streets, has free parking, and there’s a restaurant on site. We ate there and thought the food was pretty good. The service was excellent, the room was fine, and we had no complaints.
