Super 8 by Wyndham Plainview

We arrived around 11 p.m. a week after booking online, ready to sleep, but the hotel said it could see our reservation and had no room for us. Apparently Walmart distribution workers had booked up the local hotels, so we left and took a while to find somewhere else. Then they charged our card anyway. The manager first called us “no shows”; after I asked her to check the camera, she said an employee remembered me. A week passed with no refund. I called again, and she said she'd look into it and call back, but never did. We disputed the charge through our bank and won. I had proof from an app tracking my whereabouts, and I'd tell anyone dealing with them to keep proof they were there and note employees' names. Awful customer service, even when they're in the wrong. After reading the reviews, I'm glad we didn't stay. I would never recommend this place. Absolutely ridiculous!

I wouldn't recommend it. Several rooms smelled musty or of cigarettes, and the staff weren't friendly. When I asked for towels, they were rude, and there weren't any at the desk. The ice machine was broken, too. The location felt dangerous when turning out. Contractor workers staying there smoked marijuana outside, hung around, leaned on my car, and had beer parties. For a low-budget hotel, if you can even call it that, you get what you pay for. If possible, spend more for a better place.

So far, it hasn't felt worth the price. The room wasn't cleaned properly, and there was a used bar of soap in the shower. The toilet ran for most of the night, and there are no elevators to the second floor. Breakfast was really bad, with only toast or cereal to choose from.

You let me book a room for December 24 through 26, then I arrived to find the hotel closed. All the doors were open with a note saying so. Why not call people who had reservations? Even your HR was baffled by how stupid this was. Telling me I should have canceled, as if I was willing to lose my money, made it even worse. I really hope you shut down.
