Comfort Inn & Suites Plainville-Foxboro

The three bugs I found in our room during a stay of less than 12 hours were pretty gross. Google identified them as cockroach species, though I can't say more than that. I showed the front desk attendant evidence, and they casually said they'd tell the manager. The hotel looked recently renovated, clean, and well kept at first glance, but the response could have been better. I won't knowingly choose a chain that doesn't respond appropriately to customer complaints or needs.

The second-floor game room even has a restored retro video arcade machine. There are lots of amenities, a gorgeous common area, and free breakfast. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the hotel is immaculate, with high-end, timeless decor. This newly renovated place rivals most five-star hotels I've stayed in. I'd highly recommend it in Plainville if you want an upscale stay.

This was a first for me, despite being a Choice Diamond member with over 120 nights in 2025. I had one reservation and wanted to add two nights, but they said I had to make a new reservation. The owner made that second booking, and I came back later to pay after he'd left. New staff took my payment. The next morning, they said they couldn't see the transaction and wanted me to pay again. I showed the $198 transaction in my bank app, while they claimed it was charged for my first stay, which had cost $349.59. My bank amount matched their receipt exactly. I also showed both card charges for the exact amounts of the reservations, but they still said I was wrong and needed to pay again. A real businessman, not a scammer and his minion, would have checked with the nighttime employee who took my card. At the very least, with my Diamond status and more than 120 nights, they could have recognized something was wrong on their end and tried to sort it out. Instead they said they could see I'd paid but still needed me to pay again while they figured out why they couldn't see it. Who does that? Their processing issue isn't my problem. Customer service was terrible. The owner and his guy are a disgrace and shouldn't be in hospitality. Disgraceful.

I’d stay here again. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and nicely updated, with great water pressure in the bathroom. The hallways and lobby were clean too, and breakfast had good options. Handy location by a shopping center with plenty of choices, right off 495. Great place for a solo traveler.
