Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas/Plano Central

Coffee was the bright spot: it tasted good and was available whenever I passed through the lobby. The room itself was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was hot, though the powdered eggs seemed watery and the chicken sausage patties were hard and chewy. I also missed having bar soap in the shower or by the sink, since there were only pump bottles of hand soap and shampoo. That’s what brought my rating down to 3.5 stars. :)

We really enjoyed our two nights here. The hotel was clean and comfortable, our room had plenty of space, and everyone we met was friendly. Jeremiah was helpful, and Rudy was quick to take care of anything we needed. Breakfast was great too, especially Dawn’s potatoes, and we liked the coffee bar. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Twin Peaks was THE BEST, and Saltgrass had a great steak. My one suggestion would be to add some outdoor seating. There’s nowhere to sit outside with a coffee or have a cigarette.

We appreciate Manager Rudy Martinez stepping in when things got confusing with our reservation. On 1/15/2026, David and the Housekeeper came to our room at 7am with an iPad and challenged us, saying the room was supposed to be empty and asking who we were. It was upsetting for us and the three Hilton staff involved, including the manager and two staff members. MARC had changed our reservation at my request to extend our stay, but that clearly caused a recurring problem. We offer grace to everyone in a difficult situation. We’re now SILVER members and getting close to GOLD in the Hilton community. As we travel across the country, Hampton Inn properties are our exclusive home away from home, and they’re consistently well managed and responsive. Thank you, Rudy and Team Hilton!

The first room had a strong sewer smell in the bathroom, but the front desk moved us. We were really grateful that a different room was available, since the hotel had been fully booked the nights before and after we arrived. It was our first stay here and we’d happily return. The staff were attentive and courteous. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, though the busy alley behind the hotel gets used by cars cutting through to the road that runs parallel, Parker, and avoiding the Central freeway.
