Residence Inn by Marriott Pleasant Hill

I've stayed here alone and with family, and the rooms feel very spacious by European standards. The water pressure is okay for me, and I was pleasantly surprised that the tap water was drinkable, since I've been told at other places not to drink hotel tap water. Depending on where you are, you can hear the highway. I think that's because some of the hedges or trees that used to block the noise are gone. Even so, this is a hotel I regularly book for business and pleasure. Tracy made this stay pleasant, and her smile and manner were very welcome when I was exhausted. I like being able to cook and also have a nice breakfast every morning. Julia P. and the rest of the staff have always made my stays and breakfasts pleasant. Malls and shops are nearby and within walking distance, and you can also get food delivered with DoorDash. I'd recommend staying here.

The only snag was housekeeping. Service was meant to happen every other day, but our room was skipped when it was due. Apart from that, everything went smoothly during our vacation. We were a family of four in a studio, and the room was spacious, nice, and very clean. The location is quiet and pleasant, the neighborhood feels safe, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying each morning. The on-site laundry was handy, and grilling by the pool was a fun bonus for the family. It's comfortable and well maintained, and I'd recommend it to families or anyone looking for a good stay in Pleasant Hill.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are friendly. Shower pressure isn't great, though, and the hotel is very close to the highway. If you're a light sleeper, you'll hear everything.
