The hotel itself was spacious and very clean, and I enjoyed the stay. The problem was the children in the next room, who were loud and unruly. If you have small kids, please don’t let them run, jump, and play at night. A ground-floor room might make that less disruptive. Other guests deserve consideration, and some of us have CDL and need 10 hours off. We couldn’t get to sleep, which isn’t good.

The rooms were dirty, the carpets gross, and the pillows tiny, about the size of throw pillows. The shower floor was angled under both feet and very uncomfortable, and the beds were so uncomfortable I never got a good night's sleep during my stay. I especially don’t recommend this hotel because of what happened at check-in. I booked through Capital One Travel, and my mom, who was at the same hotel for my grandmother’s funeral, used Expedia. They told her her card was declined because she booked through a third party. Knowing what happened to her, I was prepared when they told me my payment had failed too. I showed the guy the payment in my Capital One app, along with the confirmation email and code. He looked flustered, said he’d check the computer again, and then suddenly everything was fine. It seemed like they were trying to get people to pay twice for third-party bookings. My wife and I have stayed in hotels around the world, and I’ve used Capital One Travel for hotels, flights, and cars in the US and abroad without a problem. I’ve never been anywhere this gross either.

When my husband’s mother has surgery, he’ll need to return, and there’s still nothing else nearby that’s reasonably quiet and not scary. This is the best option in its class, but I recommend booking ahead and paying for a level up if you can. His mother lives nearby, so he’s stayed at this Comfort Inn for several years. The old manager was a sweetheart who stayed on top of things and recognized him from his monthly visits. After the manager and his wife moved for her work opportunity in Alabama, prices went up and value went down. The beds were still clean, and there’s nothing better in their price range, but this isn’t a value destination. When his mother passes, we won’t go back to Utah. The carpets are as ratty as people say, and the tub drained slowly, though adequately. The microwave didn’t work; I told the manager, who replaced it with another broken one, so we stopped trying. The hot water dispenser used to have coffee in it, so now it smells like coffee and isn’t good for tea. Breakfast has always been American junk food, and we bring our own, so it didn’t factor into my rating. $200/night for this place seems nuts. That’s why travel in the country has been dropping. It’s not the friendly place it used to be, but it’s adequate when there’s nothing else.

We got into the room and there was no electricity, with broken walls and other issues. We had to wait outside it for 10 minutes because of Eric, who didn’t seem to be trying to help us and wasn’t welcoming at all. When we asked for a manager, he said there wasn’t one there. How are you operating without a manager? If the manager reads this, I hope he contacts us. I’d give zero stars for the service if I could.
