The Tower Cottage

The walk to the beach was easy even in the off-season, parking was simple, and breakfast was enjoyable. The property is in great shape, and we can’t wait to return. Inside, the French Victorian décor gives the renovated bed and breakfast a lot of character. Tony, the owner, was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. There’s a piano in the entryway, and I played it a little on our second night. Our room was comfortable, with robes, good pillows, and plenty of places to set things down. On a cold winter evening, the jacuzzi tub and bubble bath were especially nice. We arrived late, so didn’t try the coffee until morning, but the cinnamon tea in the entryway was great. The in-room Keurig made breakfast easy.

Tony and his wife made my son and me feel at home from the moment we arrived. They put a lot of care into making the guest experience special, and their hospitality felt genuine. The place is immaculate and wonderfully located near the beach. Breakfasts and the baked goods they make daily are something special. We’ll definitely return.

Tony made our early arrival easy: he handed us a tote with towels and water, beach badges, and a key to a changing room, so we could spend the day at the beach before check-in. The room key opened a locker that was very convenient, since we could use the bathroom at the restaurant. The beach is two blocks away on foot. The chairs we first got weren’t in the best shape, but Tony let us take some from the side of the house the next day. We had a wedding at the Captains Cove Yacht Club on Sunday, just a five-minute drive away. At the house, everything felt comfortable and quiet at night, more like home than a cold motel. The building is gorgeous and beautifully restored, and our room was lovely, with an updated bathroom, a four-head shower, and a jacuzzi tub. We had handmade breakfast each morning, more than we could eat and delicious. One morning it was egg and broccoli quiche, sausage, a yogurt parfait, juice, and coffee. The next, amazing French toast with peaches and cream in the center, plus bacon and fruit. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. There was always fresh fruit, cookies, and other treats to take as we came and went. Tony’s oatmeal cookies were delicious. I’d go back just for those, ha ha! It was our first weekend away in six years, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Tony was very kind and accommodating. We’ll definitely return to relax and spend time at the beach.

The website photos match the rooms and location, and the place is beautiful. Breakfast was magnificent every day and nicely presented. Tony and Maureen are wonderful hosts who care about making sure everything is to your liking. Thanks, Tony, for putting out a French Vanilla Dunkin Donuts K cup for me every morning.
