Quality Inn Gallipolis

We had a clean room, a comfortable bed, and great hospitality during our recent 3 day stay at this Quality Inn. It was my first time there, and the weather was extreme. The staff were short handed because of the conditions, but still kept everything running like clockwork. Jennifer and Dave at the front desk deserve a special shout out, as does Leslie, who served a great complimentary breakfast each morning. I’d definitely stay again.

The people here made a real impression on us, even though we were only passing through. Jennifer is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and she works hard while managing the hotel wonderfully. The staff were amazing, and the place was spotless and well kept. I loved seeing the original wood work still there, the hotel hasn’t been modernized and ruined. There’s an on site bar/lodge, and breakfast comes restaurant style with coupons. 10/10.

Breakfast was awesome, and the cook did a really good job. Give them a raise, they all deserve it. The staff were helpful and respectful too, just genuinely great people.

The marijuana smell in the hallway was intense and hung around all evening. We ran into it as soon as we came out of the stairwell, and because this hotel has smoking rooms, I’m unlikely to stay again for that reason alone. It is convenient given the lack of chain hotels nearby, but the place is showing its age and needs a refresh. The doors stuck and were hard to open or close, the stairs needed repairs beyond the tape on them, and the room had very few amenities. One bedside light didn’t work, many TV channels didn’t work on the small 32 inch set, and the pillows seemed postage stamp sized. I didn’t even know pillows that small were made.
