Hilton Garden Inn Pomona Chino

We had a large group of sports kids and families, and the hotel was great about accommodating us. The lobby is spacious and pleasant to hang out in, and everyone at the front desk was so nice and helpful. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. Someone also brought up the table and chair that were missing from our king room after I confirmed they were meant to be in every room, which I appreciated. Housekeeping comes every other day unless you ask for it sooner. The beds were really squishy, the pillows lumpy, and the sheets scratchy, so those could use an upgrade. Also, there was a ton of weed being smoked inside. If cigarette smoking isn’t allowed, pot shouldn’t be either. The place smelled like a dead skunk.

The coffee and tea station isn’t available around the clock like it is at other Garden Inns, so I took off a star. There is a breakfast and dinner restaurant, though breakfast isn’t free, plus a snack area. The rooms were clean and stocked properly, with housekeeping every other day. The location is handy, just off 71, near shops and restaurants, with a nice mountain view. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Ontario Airport.

The room was nice enough otherwise, but mine was missing body wash and the bottled water cost $3 each. If the water isn’t complimentary, it shouldn’t be left in the room. Just so you know, they also put a $150 incidental hold on your card.

The stores nearby were convenient, which is why I gave it three stars, though I probably won’t return. I’ve stayed at plenty of Hilton hotels, and this was by far the dirtiest. There were black stains all over the carpet, and the bathroom didn’t look properly cleaned. You could see soap left in the shower from previous guests. We barely slept because our room was beside the freeway, with cars and traffic noise all night. I tried calling the front desk from the room, but nobody answered, so we had to go down from the fifth floor to speak to them.
