Coco Palms Apartments By Lowkl

The apartment smelled like an ashtray, the remotes had no batteries, and the mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable. The whole place felt low-rent and basic, like getting a good night's sleep or making guests comfortable wasn't a priority.

During my two month stay I really didn't like this place. Ants were all over, including in the sink, on the counters, and in the bathroom sink. The neighbors ignored quiet hours and were noisy. The toilet wouldn't flush right, so I had to add water myself to get it to work. I also had to try the door lock four or five times before it would open.

The staff seemed responsive and the customer service was good, but the apartment didn't resemble the online pictures we booked from. We expected somewhere warm and cozy and got the opposite, with a smell like RAID. The AC blows across the table and chills your food within minutes, yet doesn't cool the bedroom very well.

I couldn't feel safe at Coco Palms Apartment Airbnb, so I left early on Sunday, January 3, though my booking was from Saturday, January 4, to Monday, January 6. The place was dirty, smelled of cigarettes, and had sketchy people hanging around. On January 3 I sent two text messages and an email about the problems, but they weren't addressed. Instead, I was accused of damaging the sofa and charged another $200. When I called, they wouldn't help or give me the property manager's contact details, so I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. This was the worst experience I've had. It felt unsafe and poorly managed, and I felt it was a complete scam. Avoid it.
