Mulligans Restaurant made our stay more fun with trivia night and other evening activities. The fitness center was well equipped, and the dining options were good. The pool area looked inviting, though it was closed. Most of all, Chase kept making sure our family was comfortable, and the place had a real sense of family. We were in Jacksonville for my Mayo appointments and had a very positive visit at the Hilton Garden Inn. The front desk staff were welcoming and professional, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and spotless, with fresh linens, nice toiletries, and a lovely balcony view. The bed was very comfortable. We did have a small issue in the bedroom, but Chase took care of it promptly. The service made a strong impression on us, and we’d gladly consider staying again. Thanks, HGI, for a great visit.

The lobby and lounge area were lovely, with comfortable seating and a large TV, and the check-in staff were very nice. The hotel seems to have been renovated fairly recently, and I think our room was clean overall, though it was missing a few amenities. There was no makeup mirror, just one set of towels, and the sink water pressure was extremely low. We had a double room, which was fine, but the pillows only had pillowcases, no protectors, and the linens could have been whiter. The bathroom was tiny around the tub and toilet, and the toilet was very low. The tub and shower walls looked newer, but the fixtures had a lot of hard water buildup. The carpet by the beds could use steam cleaning or replacing. In Florida, tile floors might work better in the sleeping and bathroom areas. Some tweaks would make a difference.

We had a good location, and the hotel was clean. But our room was just okay, and the tub and shower curtain were dirty. At check-in we were given keys to a room that was already occupied, so we had to go back to the desk to get it sorted out. That was a first for us. The hotel also seemed short staffed.

There are lots of restaurants within walking distance, and the location is great. The rooms were spacious and clean, though they could use some updating. The shower had stains, the tub and shower switch didn’t work, and the curtains wouldn’t move. The pull-down shade looked like something from the '70s.
