All View Motel

The late check-in was accommodated, and the owners were very nice. But room 20, which we booked with a full bed for three nights, was a letdown. The mini fridge wasn't on when we arrived, so the cooler of food and drinks we brought couldn't go in it. We ended up going out for ice at 11:30 pm. There were hairs on the shower curtain and sink, as if the last guest had shaved and housekeeping hadn't cleaned up. The shower pressure was great, but the shower head was awkwardly positioned and super janky, with mildew between the tiles. I know it's a prime location, but $99 a night didn't feel worth it. I should've spent another $100 for a nicer place.

The weekly rates and the location's safety were definite pluses. The rooms are spacious, the location is decent, and nights were very quiet. But after our long move, the rules and possible fees made it hard to relax. Housekeeping dish service costs extra, so if they're scheduled to come, every dish needs to be put away. That gets tedious on a longer stay. The beds in our room were awful and noisy, and we went out to buy pillows because those were just as bad. The smoking area was right outside our door, so we'd step out and get hit with smoke. One white towel had a long brown curly hair on it. We were told any spots on the white towels could mean an extra charge. Our kids' bare feet got black from the carpet, and we worried that stepping onto a towel, like the bathroom rug, could leave a mark and cost us. We bought our own towels instead, since that was cheaper than the possible charge.

Parking was really tight, and at night someone hit our car and left a scratch. Still, the room was clean, comfortable, and just right for us. It's a small motel, but the front desk staff were friendly and gave us trip recommendations. We slept well in the cozy, comfortable bed.

They keep this older motel in very good shape, and our room was very clean. It even had a full kitchen, which we didn't use on our one-night visit but would be handy for a longer stay. The shower head was high enough for my husband, though the toilet was so low that I felt like I was falling the first time I sat down. Apart from that, it was a really nice night. The office hours are strict, from 8 am to 10 pm.
