Quality Inn Port Angeles

I had a one-bedroom unit with a kitchenette for 12 nights in November, and it was a good price. The separate living room worked out well when my wife went to bed early, and the views were great. They served a nice hot breakfast with eggs and sausage every day. I've been coming to PA twice a year for three years, and wish I'd stayed here sooner.

The mountain and waterfront views are great, the location is convenient, and Amanda at the front desk was very nice. We'll come back for the views, location, and affordability. Room 355 was quiet and comfortable. The sheets were clean and not ragged, and the room was relatively clean. The furniture is older but well maintained, the TV was old, the AC had a digital unit, and there were lots of lamps. It's an old hotel that's been "pampered up" enough to pass the franchise inspection. Breakfast needs immediate attention. I've worked at Quality and Comfort locations, so I know how the food is prepared. The biscuits, gravy, eggs, and sausage links were all cold even while sitting on the bain-marie. The links were very undercooked, and the fruit was far from fresh.

We hadn't realized when booking just how handy the back staircase would be. Walk down it and you're right in town. The location gets a 10/10 from me. Our room was so clean, and the bathroom was clean and very large. Check-in was quick and easy, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast in the morning went beyond what I expected. If you're in port Angeles, you should definitely stay here!

Those bay windows made standing there and taking in the view really pleasant. Through the right window I could see the Olympic Mountains, and through the left, the Straight of Juan de Fuca and Canada. The building is positioned perfectly for that, even if the windows sticking out in triangular bays might sound odd. The hotel has a few quirks and is actually split between two buildings, one with the lobby and another kitty corner. I spent two nights in the second building. The room and bathroom were clean, and the location was convenient. Staff were friendly, breakfast was hot, and I had no real complaints. For the price, our stay was hard to beat. One thing to keep in mind if you're booking: the building I stayed in had ground-level parking, then two floors of rooms with no stairs. If you might have trouble carrying luggage up the stairs, mention that or book an accessible room even if you don't usually need one. It wasn't an issue for us, but could be for someone like my aunt.
