I've been back three different times, and the Royal Victorian Motel has been a great place to stop and rest each visit. The staff are friendly, and the accommodations are a good value for the price.

The bed and shower were both great, and they have coffee and a mini fridge in the room, which was a nice touch. It's conveniently close to the Blackball Ferry, so it works well if you're catching a boat.

We stayed here for the North Olympic Discovery race and would happily return. Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. A late checkout was no trouble, especially nice compared with the $300 place my friend booked. The motel is just a couple of blocks uphill from downtown.

We needed a place to freeze water bottles and ice packs on our road trip, and the room had a good-sized mini fridge. It was large and clean, too. The price felt steep, but that's what you'd expect in peak season. It's centrally located near the park.

I was a little nervous about booking a one-night stay in Port Angeles, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The location is great, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean, with fresh, spotless bedding and towels. The road outside is busy, so traffic noise comes through, and the walls are definitely thin. I travel with a white noise machine, so it didn't bother me, but light sleepers should plan for it.
