We’d booked a condo months ahead, paid the deposit, and had the agreement signed and confirmed. Then, a couple of months before the trip, we were told that new ownership meant we’d have to pay thousands more. We go back to Port A every year and had already planned our summer around this reservation, so the change has really thrown things off. Now we’re scrambling to find somewhere else at short notice, and it costs more, especially because we need a yard for our puppy. I get that ownership can change, but raising the agreed price after a booking is signed is really frustrating and disappointing. Keep that in mind when booking.
