The beds and pillows were soft, not stiff like motel pillows, so sleeping was comfortable. All the TVs already had Netflix, Prime, and other streaming services signed in, which made it feel like a vacation. The condo slept four and came with a golf cart. Check-in was easy, and guest services were friendly and helpful. Thanks for making us feel welcome. Palmilla is a lovely area of condos and houses, with pools, fire pits, gyms, a bridge to the ocean, and a swing set with two swings and a table surrounded by eight swings. We got to sit by the fire and use the swings. There’s also a restaurant with karaoke on Sundays, and possibly other days. The amenities were fun and welcoming. Our condo had a washer and dryer, a balcony, and a stand-up shower. Read up on the location. Palmilla is near a place called the Texan, which reminded me of Buc-ee’s, including the prices, like $8 for a breakfast burrito, plus souvenirs and travel gifts. You can’t drive a golf cart on the road or you could get fined, so if you’re taking it to places like the pier or stores and mini marts, you’re better off going via the ocean. Be careful. For a weekend getaway, I’d recommend the place. Buy food and drinks before arriving if you want to save money. The condo had dishes for cooking and a fridge, while the mini marts here can cost an arm.

The beach service was five star, with chairs, umbrellas, and food and drinks brought right to you. Palmilla Resort in Port Aransas has a great resort feel, well built and maintained properties, fantastic pools, and restaurants and bars that are on point. We had a great stay.
We had a great time, and we’ll definitely be back. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Getting a beach cart rental was easy, and it was a really nice cart for the fun ride to the beach and restaurants in Port A. I ordered flowers for my wife, and they placed them inside with a lovely handwritten note. Everyone and everything was so great, and it’s an excellent resort run by excellent people.
We loved the trip, and everyone had been amazing until the last day. We just wanted a quiet, relaxing time at the pool, but a worker with a tattoo on the back of her hand, black hair, and glasses gave us a lot of trouble over wristbands. We went back and forth for 20 minutes. Later, a group without wristbands got them from her without any trouble. The day before, the manager at the other pool had been great and understood that not everyone in our group had a wristband, since some of us did. This was ridiculous.
We stayed three nights and liked the furnishings and appliances, along with the amenities, friendly staff, and location. It’s close enough to town for quick trips. There were quite a few little problems in the unit, though: the ice maker didn’t work, the stove light was burned out, a stove knob was broken, and the dryer lint trap was broken. Those are the sorts of things I expect in a rental, but it would’ve been nice if someone had found and fixed them before we arrived.
