Ruby Redbird Roost by Silver Sands Vacation Rentals

Miss Charlie made the change to our rental easy and painless after our original place went on the market. She was spectacular and helpful throughout, and the options she gave us fit our needs perfectly. Thanks for another great Port A trip and a great place to stay.

We paid a lot for Bella Vista in Port Aransas in April 2026, and the rental fell well short of what we expected. We had to spend our first hours washing bedding for seven bedrooms. A technician also came and went for most of the day to work on the TVs, which disrupted our family vacation. To be fair, he was polite, worked hard, cleaned the grill, and removed the dead bird from the patio. We appreciated his effort. The home had not been properly cleaned or inspected. There was hair on the sheets, the floors throughout were filthy with dirt rather than beach sand, and we wore socks most of the trip just to keep our feet clean. A dead, decaying bird was by the pool on the patio, the grill was dirty with no way to clean it, and the pool was dirty so we never used it. The appliances were dirty, ceiling fans, stove burners, and bedroom lights did not work, most TVs were out, and the second floor patio door would not open. The property manager never came to the house or contacted us. We were told they were not feeling well that day, which we understand, but with nearly a dozen problems, including cleanliness issues that should have been caught before check-in, some acknowledgment would have meant a lot. We still have not heard from anyone at Silver Sands about it. We contacted Silver Sands Vacation Rentals about the problems, and they did not respond appropriately. For the price, including a $600 cleaning fee, we deserved a clean, maintained, working, and properly inspected home. There were many other properties to choose from, and we really wish we had chosen differently. Based on our experience, we would NOT recommend Bella Vista or this management company, and we will not stay at a Silver Sands Property again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better Port Aransas stay. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and so comfortable it felt like home. Our local host was personable and quick to respond from the time we booked, taking care of every detail. When the AC had a small issue, the needed part wasn’t available on the island, but they quickly found another solution and had it running perfectly. The plumber and HVAC maintenance team were prompt, skilled, and genuinely friendly. Our experience with Silver Sands Property Management (2217 State Highway 361 Port A, Texas) has been exceptional. We’re spending all of November with them and already planning another stay. We’ll absolutely be back, and highly recommend this rental group and its outstanding local team!

Beach Club 2 was a beautiful, grand, open home, with the kitchen, dining room, and spacious living area all connected. The ten bedrooms suited our large family well, and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out upstairs or downstairs. The upstairs game room, PAC Man arcade, and paddle board table were a hit with the kids. Outside, the pool was a good size with a large patio. The beach is only a three-minute walk, with Main Street leading right to it. We also had a golf cart to get around and go to the beach, and you can drive and park on the beach with a $15 one time charge parking permit. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies, and the house was huge and comfortable. The cleaning needs work. Dirt covered the floors, and our feet turned black walking on them. The cleaning staff came back to do the floors and wipe the cabinets, but I saw them use a Swiffer wet jet, which in my opinion doesn’t clean like a real mop with hot water and soap. Bedroom shelves were dirty, a couple of shower curtains had to be replaced because of mold and soap scum, and the kitchen cabinet doors were sticky. One refrigerator freezer door was broken, and neither of the two refrigerators’ ice makers worked. The pool light didn’t work, so swimming at night wasn’t possible. We’ll come back as long as they deep clean better next time.
