Sandhill Townhomes

The condo is spacious and lovely, with a wonderful big deck, and it’s near the beach, restaurants, dining, and stores. It was quiet and peaceful, and the pool was beautiful and almost empty this time of year. The problems were the upkeep and the rental agency’s lack of follow-through. When we arrived Monday, the garage was full of the previous renters’ trash. We reported it at check-in and were told someone would remove it, but by Thursday, the day before checkout, it was still there. We called twice more and got nowhere. Trash bags have also been piled beside the bin across the lane from our condo and porch since we arrived. Birds tear into them and scatter trash, leaving a stinky mess and eyesore next to another rental. We’ve tried calling the numbers in the renters’ information packet and the one online, but one is disconnected and the other says voicemail hasn’t been set up. The pool is lovely, too, but it was full of sand, with debris around the area and no sign it had been swept or cleaned. We had a good stay otherwise, but the place wasn’t well attended to by the rental agency or cleaning services. We put our trash in the big bin as needed, but for six people over five days they supplied just two garbage bags, so we had to buy more. It would be a lovely place to stay if they handled upkeep and cleaning better, answered renters, and followed through after being notified.
