The third-party managers are awful for Airbnb guests and great for the owners. The bedrooms are okay, and the living room and kitchen are decent, but the upstairs front porch is lame. The front door won’t stay shut unless it’s locked. The oven is tiny, and the stove is poorly designed, with plastic knobs so close to the burners that if they melt, you’ll be charged $168.00 for two new ones. One bedroom and the back bathroom have barn-style doors that don’t close all the way. The upstairs back porch is great, and the downstairs game room and back hangout areas are nice, but they’re disconnected from each other. Dogs cost $30.00 a day, so it doesn’t feel very pet friendly.

We drove 16 hours to San Antonio, then another three to Port Aransas, and rented a six-person golf cart for $125 a day to get around town while our cars rested. The house made the trip worth it. It was quiet, the views were beautiful, and it felt like home rather than a rental. With five kids, the game room and the lower outdoor game, lounge, and BBQ area kept them busy when we weren’t at the beach. The community pool is down the street and free for the kids, and there’s also a playground and skatepark. If your kids skateboard like mine, bring their boards. We had everything we needed, even spices, and added a few things to the collection for the next guests. You really only need clothes and food. The beds were comfortable, the showers were amazing, and the laundry chutes made laundry easier with kids. I loved the outdoor shower for rinsing everyone off quickly when we got back, and leaving the shoes outside kept the sand where it belonged. There are TVs in every room, including the game room and upper deck, plus Wi-Fi and cable. The beach is right around the corner. We’ll definitely come back, and my whole family wants to return to this house. Thank you to the owners for giving us such great memories.

We enjoyed staying here for a family get-together. The Airbnb house in Port Aransas, Texas is next to a wildlife preserve, welcomes pets for an extra fee, and has plenty of TVs and great Wi-Fi. It comes with everything you need to enjoy your stay.

MAJOR BOOKING ISSUES AND UNHELPFUL STAFF. We asked for the 5th through the 9th as our travel dates. They took our credit card information, then said those dates weren’t available. Several days later, we discovered they had charged the card anyway and refused to refund us, saying we had tied up their booking. I showed them screenshots from the original system showing the dates as unavailable, and after that they stopped communicating. DO NOT BOOK THERE. IT’S A SCAM.

It was a clean, nice condo in a quiet area, close to town. I’d definitely stay there again.
