Hampton Inn & Suites Port Arthur

I stay over 100 nights a year with Hilton, and I’d never run into this before. Instead of activating digital check-in and giving me a key, they emailed a credit card authorization form. When I called to ask why, I was told they had just upgraded the locks, digital check-in wasn’t working, and this was standard at the hotel. My digital key worked after I completed and returned the form. I suspect this process is used to deny some people a stay, then keep their money when the room can’t be refunded.

I can’t forget how kindly the attendant helped my family and me. He was there at 5am on Saturday, apparently working the night shift, and he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He deserves a raise. Thank you so much, and God bless you 🙏🏾

Joseph at the front desk is easily the nicest front desk manager I’ve met at any Hilton. Since I had to leave very early for work, he helped arrange breakfast before the usual hours. He made sure I liked the room and understood what guests here need, which made our time on the road easy.

For me, breakfast is the highlight! The lovely woman who prepared it was the star, and there was a big variety to choose from. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet, with a fridge and microwave, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area.
