Hampton Inn Port Charlotte

The breakfast was a highlight for me. There were plenty of choices, including dairy-free and gluten-free options. Almond milk and packaged gluten-free blueberry muffins meant I could enjoy the buffet without getting sick. The eggs varied over the days, and there was plenty of protein. NANCY, our breakfast host, was wonderful. She asked how we liked our eggs and made sure my daughter could get her favorite waffle flavor. Her care felt personal and loving. I’d gladly come back to see her again. My daughter and I spent four nights here for a wedding, April 9 - 12, 2026. Stephani and Ginger welcomed us warmly when we arrived late on the first night, and the whole team was friendly. The room was clean and well kept, with fresh sheets and towels, a large bathroom, and a hot shower. It had streaming apps on the TV, which was a nice bonus. The decor and architecture seemed a little dated to me, with low ceilings, carpet, and not enough lighting, though the property had recently been renovated after west Florida's last big hurricane. We enjoyed the room and the property overall. The gym was small, with weights, exercise balls, and three bikes, and it wasn’t busy. The outdoor pool and canal-side lawn made up for that. I enjoyed jogging safely around the grounds and liked the landscaping. Applebee's, Seven-Eleven, Walmart, and Culver's are within walking distance, and being near the highway made commuting easy. It’s an excellent property with lovely people. I spoke with the managers to commend them and look forward to seeing everyone on our next stay.

The rooms were clean, and I liked seeing the lobby decorated for Halloween. What really earned this hotel five stars for me was the staff. Everyone I met at the front desk and on the cleaning team was kind, helpful, and wonderful. I stay in hotels two or three nights a week, and the service here was exceptional.

Our flight home was canceled because of bad weather, and the front desk was very accommodating. They let us extend our stay by three days. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast with Arlene and Nancy was a bright spot each morning, and housekeeping made sure we had what we needed. Latoya and (another) Nancy took especially good care of my parents while they recovered. Ginger and Stefani also became like family to us. During both hospital stays, they checked in and helped however they could, and their warmth and positivity meant so much. We stayed at this Hampton Inn twice in two months while my dad was in the hospital for major surgeries. The whole staff made a stressful stretch much easier. Ashley, Chris and Donna at the front desk always greeted us with kindness and genuine care. We’ve stayed at Hilton properties around the world, and the service here is unmatched. We’re so grateful, and we’ll absolutely stay here again when we’re next in Port Charlotte.
