I booked the Holiday Inn at the last minute and ended up really enjoying the stay. The staff on all three shifts were kind and accommodating. They took note that I had a service animal, gave me good food recommendations, and the front desk was always staffed. The room was okay, though the TV wouldn't work even with my own cable and computer, and the bathroom felt cramped. I mainly used the room to sleep and shower. There's a great grocery store across the street.

They opened breakfast early for customers heading out fishing, so we could get hot food and coffee. That was the best part. The price was good, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the receptionist polite. It's not a resort, but I'm giving it five stars.

The parking lot was dangerously icy and slippery, even with the cold and snow. Our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable, though it's starting to show its age. With a new hotel across the street at similar prices and another one about 15 minutes away in Marblehead, a facelift seems due. On the plus side, the hotel called to say our room was ready three hours before check-in, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast was decent, too. We stayed one night over the weekend.

My boyfriend and I got stranded because we live on Kelleys Island, and the staff were amazing. Becca at the front desk got us settled and offered detergent and other things to help us out. We're lucky to have a place nearby that understands island life. Thanks to Becca and the rest of the staff for making things easy and keeping everything clean!
