Seaside Inn Motel

I stayed three days and felt sick afterward. The room was filthy, with mold everywhere and a strong mold smell. I had to wear sandals because the floor was so dirty my feet turned black. We laid our own sheets and blankets over the motel bedding because nothing looked clean. The AC put out a horrible, heavy musty smell as soon as it was switched on. There were two rooms in the parking lot taped off with red tape after a fire, yet our room had no smoke detector. There was also a locked, random door inside the room with sunlight showing through it, which felt sketchy. The lot was so cramped I could hardly pull my truck out of its spot. I don’t know how the county hasn’t condemned this place.

We came across this hidden gem while I was traveling for work. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The room was dated but very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the service was outstanding. I’ll definitely stay again.

There was black mold everywhere, and I wouldn’t risk turning on the AC. The bed squeaks. A tissue was being used where the smoke alarm should be. Smoke marks were all over. The mattress, chairs, and table...

We cancelled our booking and went elsewhere because the room didn’t seem safe or clean. When we arrived, they said it still needed cleaning, which was understandable since it was early. But the cleaner took only eleven minutes to do the whole room. Inside, we found security bars on the back window, a broken lock on the front window, a dirty pillowcase on the floor, an old, very dirty shower curtain, and sheets so thin you could see the lines of the mattress. There were no smoke detectors in the room either.
