Executive Inn Laguna Vista

I liked this motel and would recommend it. I stayed twice for a week because it was close to my project site, and I’ll come back on my next trip. The view of the bay from my second-floor room was fantastic. It had a King Bed and a small kitchenette. The room was clean, the bed cozy, and I didn’t see bugs or roaches. The pool was beautiful and the water was clean, with plenty of parking too. Prices were lower than most area motels I asked about. I also noticed a new laundromat had opened across the road. The Indian guy at the front desk was very friendly.

The man at the front desk was nice and understanding, and gave us a full refund, thank God. That didn’t undo how awful the conditions were. We found bed bugs, killed a roach, and there was a horrible mold smell. The toilet was nasty, the shower and sink looked bad, and the restroom vent was falling from the roof. The kitchenette was disgusting too: the stove was dirty and missing ranges, and the fridge was filthy, didn’t close, and didn’t work. The whole place looks run down because it is. It needs renovation and new management. It’s unbelievable that an owner would allow these conditions.

We only stayed an hour before leaving, and we won’t be back. The floors were dirty, the fridge was rusty, and a small bug jumped onto a towel we’d put on the couch. The AC smelled disgusting.

We drove from South Padre Island after calling ahead about a double queen room. They said they had one and would hold it, but when we arrived, they said there wasn’t one after all. The only room available was a King, which wouldn’t work with our Grandson. We didn’t see any rooms, so I can’t say what they look like or whether they’re worth it. The property is right across from a Beach.
