The family room made our stay especially enjoyable, and the welcoming feel of this family-run place suited our family well. Port O’Connor has few hotel choices, and this isn’t a luxury property, but it fits the relaxed coastal setting. The staff were so accommodating, bringing fresh towels and making coffee each morning. Their local tips also added a lot to our trip.

For families coming to POC to fish, this place works perfectly. The rooms are simple, but they’re clean, with fresh sheets and towels changed daily. The owners are great, and either Sam or his wife is always around. This is the only place we stay when we visit Port O’Connor. It’s no Taj Mahal, but it suits us.

The peace and quiet are a big part of why we keep coming back, and it’s a great value in a great location. We’ve been staying here for 10 yrs, and Sam is always accommodating. The new renovations are lovely. This is our go-to hotel in POC for us and our family. Never had a complaint.

During last month’s Lone Star Shootout Tournament, my family stayed here and found the rooms clean and inviting. We had an air-conditioning issue, but after we told the manager, he supplied a new unit. The service was wonderful. Beaches and restaurants are within walking distance, and I could see that the rooms had been renovated since my previous stay. I’d recommend it to anyone after a peaceful place with a modern feel.

The receptionist was attentive and very friendly, and our newly remodeled room was clean and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed the stay enough that, after checking out in the morning, we came back that evening for another night. I’d suggest clearing the clutter and materials from the front office area.
