Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Port Richey by IHG

The front desk staff were helpful with ideas for things to see and even suggested some restaurants, bars, and activities. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and good. The pool is small, but I wasn’t expecting Olympic swimming, so it worked fine.

Our group of six found a suite here at a great price, which is hard to do without paying a fortune or booking an Airbnb. The room was clean and comfortable, with a mini-fridge and safe. We used the pool and hot tub every night, and the fitness room and computer stations were great. The daily riddles were a fun little extra. Breakfast was a real highlight: omelets, hash browns, pancakes, good orange juice, and those amazing cinnamon buns. There’s coffee and tea around the clock, plus a cookie at check-in. Turkey sausage would be nice for people who don’t eat pork. Busch Gardens, the Tampa Zoo/Aquarium, Clearwater, and Crystal River are about 45 minutes to an hour away. It’s a drive, but the savings and comfortable stay made it worthwhile for us. There are huge frogs and tadpoles in the ditch out front, and Congo River Golf next door was a blast. Michael was very helpful there. We had a great time, and this worked well as a comfortable, budget-friendly base.

The breakfast lady is so sweet, and you can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work. The staff are lovely and helpful too. This hotel has a different feel from an average one. Highly recommend, 10/10.

We were in a convenient area close to lots of restaurants, and the hotel was very nice and clean. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was amazing, and the pool and hot tub were kept up really well. I also used the gym and liked it.
