Sheraton PGA Vacation Resort, Port St. Lucie

The units were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and always available. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet, lovely area, with its beautiful pool. The exercise and activity building is due to open soon.

We spent a week in a villa with roof construction going on the whole time. When I raised the issue, nobody tried to move us. The only response was a weak excuse that the work hadn't been planned. Management should retrain the staff or consider letting them go. The customer service was disgraceful by Marriott standards. The booking information didn't say parking cost extra. It only vaguely mentioned on-site parking instead of being clear that it wasn't free. With no resolution, I can't recommend this hotel.

They're working on the roofs now, and the pool looks like it was just completely redone. It seems like they're putting money back into the resort. I also saw several Best Buy geek squad vehicles there setting up new electronics. The room was very clean, with what looked like newer carpets, and worked perfectly for what we needed. The pool area has ping pong, an outdoor pool table, corn hole, and several grills. They're finishing another small building by the pool and office. Maybe it's a gym, but I forgot to ask. The location is excellent, especially for golfing. It seems like it was meant to be a much bigger time share resort, but they stopped after three buildings for some reason. It's a great value. I took off a star for the $15 “self parking fee”. I hate junk fees.

The staff were very friendly, the location was convenient, and the grounds and pool area were nice. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed, an okay sitting area, and a handy kitchenette. Still, we won't stay again. We heard every sound from the adjoining room through a huge gap in the door jamb, and one night I had to call the front desk because the guest next door was very loud. The shower barely had any water pressure. We left gourmet cookies on the dining table, and by the next day ants had covered them.
