TownePlace Suites by Marriott Port St. Lucie I-95

The location was the part I liked. The room had a damaged, stained sofa, marks on the bathroom door, shower stains, banged-up stove knobs, and an air conditioner that rattled so loudly we had to turn it off to sleep. I thought maybe we'd just gotten a bad room because the reviews looked good, but the fitness center had no towels and several machines weren't working either. I was very disappointed. I brought the problems to staff twice and was told, “we will make note of that”. I also tried to reach the hotel's General Manager, but got no response. This place has been used and abused, and the room wasn't at the quality I usually expect from Marriott. I'd recommend trying a different hotel or an AirBNB.

After a long day of travel and while dealing with things following my father's death, we arrived exhausted and upset after Airbnb left us without a place to stay. Janae, the night auditor, was calm, patient, and genuinely empathetic. Her professionalism and thoughtful help reassured us at a very difficult time. She made us feel cared for and supported, rather than just processed as guests. Janae showed outstanding customer service and strong character. She's a real asset to the hotel, and I hope management recognizes her care. I've now become a member, and from now on I'll return to this location when I travel to the area.

We live in Port St. Lucie and had to stay elsewhere temporarily while work was done on our home. The rooms were very clean, the staff were nice, and the kids enjoyed staying there. No complaints at all.

The staff were pleasant every time, always smiling and asking how they could help. Service mattered most to me, and when the lock on my suite gave me trouble, they sent someone up right away. They couldn't fix it immediately, so they moved me to another suite on the same floor. It was twice the size, and I hadn't asked for an upgrade. They offered it because of the inconvenience, and now they have a customer for life. The hotel was extremely clean, from the food area to the bedroom and bathroom, and the kitchen was spotless with a clean fridge. The shower had great shampoo, body wash, and conditioner in large dispensers; I also liked the moisturizer and soap. The air conditioning controls were phenomenal: I could keep it running on auto, low, or high, instead of being woken by it clicking on and off. The towels were soft and fluffy, with plenty of towels and washcloths, and there were extra blankets in the closet. The breakfast was wonderful, though the bananas were green on the days I was there, so they should make sure to have ripe ones. A guest came to the food area barefoot, so they should post a sign requiring shoes around food. And even though they keep things clean, they wheeled big garbage bins through the breakfast area during breakfast. I think people would prefer that to happen before or after. I still recommend this hotel. It's extremely clean, has great amenities, and is a great value.
