The rooms were clean and I didn’t see any bugs, which is my main concern in a hotel. The staff were friendly and professional, and the man who checked me in was especially kind and helpful. They didn’t charge an extra fee for my dog, and they easily put us on the ground floor since she’s old and can’t manage stairs. The two beds were clean and comfy. I’d definitely recommend it.

I thought I’d booked two nights, but I hadn’t, and I take responsibility for that. I was out of the hotel at checkout when they called, and I said I’d be back in about 20 minutes to get my things. I wanted to move to a different hotel. The woman who called was nice and asked if housekeeping could clean without touching my belongings; I said that was fine. The cleaning lady was kind too. But when I arrived, the manager was incredibly disrespectful. The night before he’d said to enjoy my stay and that checkout was at 11 every day. I thought he meant generally. Then he kept saying, “I told you when check out was,” “I don’t know if you were listening to what!?” and “If you wanted to stay longer, you were supposed to come here in the morning!” I was only 40 minutes past checkout, and he berated me over a misunderstanding. The hotel wasn’t close to full, and the same cars were still there when I returned, so I don’t understand why he made such a thing of it. I told him he didn’t need to be so rude, but he kept going while I collected my things, saying, “You said you’d be back in 20 minutes, so I went ahead and waited…” I finally said, “Sir sir! That is too much!” He stopped and waited outside the room. I’ve never had customer service treat me that way. The towels were stained and I had to call for replacements. The room smelled a little smoky, there was hair under the blanket, and it didn’t feel very secure. Paint was peeling from the ceiling and walls, and the wall bottoms by the window were discolored and disgusting.

For the price, this is hard to beat. It’s right off the interstate, with plenty of gas and food options nearby, and it’s pet friendly, which helped. My pup seemed comfortable while I stepped out for dinner. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom and sink area were clean. Just fine for one night. My only gripes were the missing furniture and accents and an empty tissue box. The front desk staff were very friendly.

The rooms are really clean, the beds are comfortable, and the area is quiet. The owner, though, puts a time limit on being in the lobby even when you’re waiting for an Uber and your company has paid for a two night stay. He profiled me like staying longer meant I might steal or something. If that’s what he’s worried about, he’s in the wrong business.
