Breakfast was a real treat each morning, and the hosts even set us up with a booster seat and kids' dishes. They live across the driveway and welcomed us in person, showing us around and making sure we felt at home. The older house has plenty of character, with lovely updates like new bathrooms, bedroom noise machines, lamps with USB ports, and a Keurig. Our clean, comfortable room had enough space for our portable crib. We had a fantastic, relaxing stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

We were warmly greeted and shown around the house by the owner and housekeeper, who lives there. Our room was comfortable, and the whole charming place was beautifully clean. The little kitchen and dining space had what we needed, plus some delicious pastry. It was a lovely find for an overnight stay, and we'd be happy to return.

I'll be back next year for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. The hosts made me feel welcome, and both the food and my clean, charming, comfortable room were wonderful. The Blue Thistle is a great place to stay, and I'd definitely recommend it.

I stayed here the night before a race at Moraine State Park, just a few minutes away. Breakfast came with homemade bread and blueberry jam, along with other food, and Tom and Kaye were excellent hosts. My room felt spacious and comfortable, with pleasant updates that still kept its quaint look. I'd gladly stay here again.

The B&B is a peaceful place, with just two possible family units in the house, one upstairs and one downstairs. We had the first-floor Harp Room for three nights, with its queen bed, and made use of the sitting room and kitchen on that floor. Our bathroom was large and well equipped, including a big shower. The road can be heard, but the owners leave ear plugs and a white noise machine for anyone bothered by it. Kaye made a lovely breakfast every morning, with egg dishes, homemade bread, fruit, juice, and coffee. There's also a Keurig for coffee or tea early in the day or after dinner. Tom was helpful before we arrived while our plans shifted by a day in either direction, which gave me a good impression even ahead of the visit. Both he and Kaye greeted us warmly. They live next door. The remodeled older home is very clean, full of character, and has the amenities most people would want. Nearby, McConnell's Mill State Park and Moraine State Park are both under 15 minutes away, with hiking and other recreation. We spent a few hours at each between our events. If we're back in the area, we'll stay at the Bluethistle again.
