Cambria Hotel Portland - Pearl District

The hotel is in a nice spot, with everything you need downtown within walking distance. The beds are comfortable, and the room has a fridge, microwave, and K-cup coffee. The restaurant food was just okay, and the breakfast pastries weren't fresh, though they only cost $5. Valet parking was ridiculous. I waited an hour to get my car when leaving. At $60 a day, that shouldn't happen. It looked like there was only one worker on a Saturday, which seems silly since that's probably the busiest day. I wouldn't pay for valet again, since there's cheaper street parking nearby.

I won't stay anywhere else in Portland. The staff are a real gem, so sweet and caring, from the front desk to the restaurant and bar to housekeeping. Every part of the service was five stars and more. The location is beautiful, with bars, restaurants, and convenience stores all within a five-minute walk, and an Uber is usually two to five minutes away. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The staff made a Santa cake, which was so cool, and gingerbread houses too.

A chaotic week of travel, with missed trains and delays, turned into a couple of stressful days, but this team helped me get through it as a solo traveler in a new city. Casey was fantastic in the mornings, getting me checked in smoothly and making sure I had coffee. Jessica kindly helped with my luggage and shared great Portland bakery recommendations, and Drew was wonderful too. Wesley helped me feel safe and welcome, and his genuine, engaging presence made a real difference. Every interaction felt thoughtful and human. I'm very grateful to the whole team.

I've been coming here regularly for weekend brunch. The food is great, and so is the staff. Summer is friendly, always accommodating, and makes a great bloody Mary. Cassie's food is excellent, with every plate on point. Armando is really attentive when serving. A great spot in the heart of the City for breakfast and drinks.
